History And Forecast By Room Type Report

The “History and Forecast by room type” report displays historical data and forecasts the hotel’s business situation in detail by individual guests, group guests, number of guests, room occupancy, average room rate and total room revenue by room type in the past and future, reflecting the occupancy status and revenue based on the reservation types of bookings to support the hotel in making strategic business decisions.

The report displays data by room type including 2 parts: History and Forecast.

History: Statistics of past data by night audit date (displays data of days that have gone through night audit in the From – To date range).

Forecast (Forecast): Statistics of future data, including the current day if it has not gone through night audit (displays data of days that have not gone through night audit in the From – To date range).

1. Permission

Navigate to Config > Access Control to turn on permission for this report.

2. History and Forecast report

• From date (1): Allow to select the start date of the range that user wishes to view.
• To date (2): Allow to selet the end date of the range that user wishes to view.
• Room type (3): Default is All, use can select the specific room type in dropdown list
• Sum by Month (4): When clicked, it will sum up the data for the days of each month within the selected date range into a single row.
• Include Taxes, Service Charge (5): When clicked, the amount in report will use the amount after tax to calculate.
• Search (6): When clicked, apply the filter.
• Excel (7): Allow to export data in excel file.
• Print (8): Allow to print out the reportWe

*Note:

In case of user audit during the day, display the audited date and revenue (calculated from the start of the audit date to the audit date) in the History section

With the room type being Dummy (with the Dummy room toggle enabled) → The data columns display “-”, except for the “Room revenue” column

Room revenue will be displayed according to the room generating revenue.

The columns displaying data from room revenue will take all revenue with transaction type belonging to the group transaction type configured in the field “Room fee group transaction type” in the Config > Hotel screen
