[UPDATE] FOLIO – Allow refunding deposits via a different payment method

Aim: Allow user to refund deposit via different payment methods from the original deposit method, besides that need to assure:

• No discrepancy in Currency exchange 
• No occurring the odd number to impact on Folio/ Check out process 
• Assure the accuracy in financial reports

At Foilo tab, add the initial deposit method is ABA Master Card – amount 100 – currency – USD:

After saving, Deposit display with negative value -100:

At transaction tab:

When user need to refund Deposit amount for customer, click the Refund deposit button to show Refund deposit pop up at Folio tab and select items in droplist of Refund method as customer desires, its condition as detail:

Allow to select the different payment methods from the initial deposit: CASH USD

Binding application:

Currency of Refund deposit must be same as Currency Deposit: USD

Only display Refund methods in droplist they are configured the same Currency type as Deposit’s

After saving, the remaining deposit amount deducts -50:

No support to refund another currency 

No handling the currency exchange  issue

No change of creating deposit logic

No change payment method master config
