User activity log

1. Grant Permission ‘User activity log’ for a role

  • Step 1: To enable the User activity log for a specific role, navigate to Config > Access Control > Select the role > Click on the Edit button
  • Step 2: In the Edit role popup:
    • Locate the User activity log checkbox
    • Click to select the User activity log checkbox
    • Click the Save button to confirm your changes

2. User activity log page

When the user clicks on the User Activity Log function, the User Activity Log screen will display, allowing the user to view the history of user activities on the system at the current time.

  1. Features of the User Activity Log:
  • Viewing Activity Log: The User Activity Log screen shows the history of user activities on the system.
  • Filtering Log Data:
    • Users can filter the log data by entering conditions into the filter and then clicking the Search button.
    • If no conditions are entered and the user clicks Search, the grid will display all logs for the current day.
  • Default Log Display:
  • By default, the grid on the User Activity Log screen displays log entries performed by users with the status “Active” and “Deleted”.
  • To display log entries performed by users with the status “Inactive”, the user needs to enable the Show Inactive Users button.
  1. User Activity Log Search Fields and Functions

Here is the detailed layout and description of the fields and functionalities in the User Activity Log screen

  • From: select the start date of the period
  • To: select the end date of the period
  • User role: select the role the user wants to filter
  • User: select the user who performed the actions to filter
  • Activity group: select the module for which the user wants to display logged actions
  • Action: select the logged action based on the selected “Activity group”
  • Search: Enter characters/keywords to filter the log data through the Description column of each log entry
  • Show inactive users: Allows the user to choose to hide or display log data performed by users with the status “Inactive”. The log data grid by default displays action logs performed by users with the status “Active” and “Deleted”

  • From: Represents the start date of the period the user filters data for
  • To: Represents the end date of the period the user filters data for
  • LogTime: Represents the time when the user’s action was logged
  • UserRole: Represents the role of the user
  • User: Represents the username of the user
  • IP_Address: Represents the IP address that performed the logged action
  • ActivityGroup: Represents the module where the action was logged
  • Action: Represents the action taken by the user
  • Description: Represents the description of the action and the logged object
